Vedanta is the most ancient Indian philosophy. It helps one develop a powerful intellect. The intellect is the capacity to think, reason, judge and decide. It is distinct from intelligence which is sheer information from external sources. A strong intellect enables one to fix an ideal in one’s field of activity. And that generates initiative, a personal enthusiasm and energy to work hard. Such people are not dependent on external incentives. With the lack of intellect and ideal to work for, modern business organisations freely use external incentives to coerce employees to work. A practice which has a limited application resulting in the loss of productivity and even closure of businesses.
The intellect also programmes the three disciplines of concentration, consistency and cooperation which assure productive action and success in business.
